The Life in the UK test is a mandatory requirement for anyone seeking naturalisation as a British citizen. The test covers a range of topics including British history, culture, values and traditions.

Passing the test is a crucial step in the citizenship process, and failure to pass can result in delayed or denied citizenship.

The test is made up of 24 multiple-choice questions and must be completed within 45 minutes and is a computer based test.

In order to pass the test you need to answer correctly at least 18 questions out of a total of 24. This ratio means you need to score 75% pass rate in order to be successful in the British Citizenship Test.

Anyone who fails the Life in the UK test will have to re-take it at a later date, no earlier than 7 days after a failed attempt.
